about

Wu-Lu is back and pleased to share his new single 'Seven'. Morgan Simpson of Black Midi also features and plays drums on the track. This is the first single from the multi-instrumentalist since his 2018 EP N.A.I.S, (Not As It Seems).

Wu-Lu is a South London-based producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist. Having worked with the likes of MNDSGN (Stones Throw) and Andrew Ashong on his previous 2015 mixtape Ginga, the talented bassist has already secured some strong production credits. Including Ego Ella May, Oscar Jerome and Poppy Ajudah. Also working alongside Joe Armon Jones (Ezra Collective) and Kwake Bass (Kate Tempest, Sampha) for a brand new project coming 2020.

Speaking about the track Wu-Lu says, "This song touches on thoughts and feelings that a lot of people have about their close ones. Even though most are from different walks of life. Seven is an in-depth look into caring about someone so much but not being able to help them the way you want to."

Wu-Lu is no stranger to experimentation within his music. He has constantly been experimenting with the various influences on his Brixton doorstep, as well as some of the complex issues that a young mixed race man living in London may face. Wu-Lu will also be performing a headline show at the iconic London venue The Windmill on the 25th April.
